How much experience do you all have?
We've been satisfying customers since 1992. In fact, much of our work is either

How do I outsource work to GrowTech?

Where is GrowTech located?
We are located in sunny Florida, USA. BUT, we have clients all across
he United States. Working virtually enables us to have clients all of the
World. It's no problem.

Are there any type of websites or work that GrowTech that will NOT do?
Yes. GrowTech will not create any websites that are pornographic, vulgar,
profane, political or religious in nature. This has been our strict policy
since GrowTech was formed.

How do I know your work is professional?
"A picture is worth 1000 words." We're not sure who originally said that,

How long does a website (or other design) take to create?
It varies, depending on workload, the scope of the project, the cooperation of the
client, etc... Sometimes we can get websites out to our clients within a week.
Of course, small design projects, such as business cards, take much less time.
If you need something done fast, call us and let us know.

Will I be able to update my website on my own?
It depends. This is decided during the requirements definition phase of the
project. Many of our clients are indeed updating their content on their own.
This is great because they can make as many changes to their website as they want,
whenever they want. The only downside to this is this: If a client "uglies"
up a website we might not show it in our portfolio! :)

How about advertising my website?
GrowTech specializes in the design, development and deployment of websites, currently
not website advertising or promotion. Please note that we DO design websites
in a "search engine friendly" way, using META tags, etc... so that you website is
primed and ready for those search engines. But, can we get you to
show up first in Google or Yahoo searches? No. What can we do?
There are certain avenues that we can refer you to in order to accomplish this.
Among these: Google AdWords, Google AdSense,
Microsoft adCenter, having your
web address on everything (business cards, fliers, brochures, signs, invoices, etc...)
and so on.

PRICING RELATED QUESTIONS
How much does a website cost?
Prices vary. For example, E-commerce sites may cost more than a 4 page "brochure"/informational
site, simply because they take more time to create and implement. We are fair
and reasonable with our clients. We will try to work with you as much as possible
to make sure that you are totally satisfied with everything, including the price.
We believe in having "customers for life", so your complete satisfaction is our
goal!

I got a quote from another company. Will you match it?
It depends. If the company is quoting for a similar site and the quality of
their work is up to par with ours, then we will do our best to match it. But,
we've seen many web developers and companies whose work is unprofessional and shoddy.
(It may be cheaper, but, you get what you
pay for.) In this case we'd have to see. Get the quote
to us and we'll do our best.

What is included in the website packages?
Basically everything you need. All GrowTech web packages include (at no extra
cost):
- Professional Consultation
- Domain Name
- Tech Support & Hosting Costs
- Email (Online Email too!)
- Full web design costs (no hidden charges)
Please note that the actual files (ex: HTML, SWF, JS, JPEG, GIF, PNG, etc...) and source code (ex: PSD, FLA, PHP, etc. files) is
not included with the packages, it is available for purchase.

If I want to change my website later how much do you charge?
First, understand that you can change your website yourself, if you want to - as
often as you'd like. This is addressed in the FAQ "Will
I be able to update my website on my own?"
In the past we did not charge extra for minor website modifications. But,
recently, we have been inundated with website change requests from many different
clients. In many cases the websites were several years old and we had to search
thru backup tapes and reconfigure older technologies just to make the needed changes.
Eeek. As a result of this, the new policy for website changes has been
modified to reflect the following, effective Nov 1st , 2006.
If your website is over 3 months old, any changes made to your website will be billed
in half hour increments.
Please note that we will charge at least ½ hr minimum for any website change request,
even if it is minor. Since the work has to be scheduled in with current projects,
please allow 1-2 weeks for the changes to be done.

Are there discounts for return customers?
Absolutely! We love return customers and charge
heavily discounted rates for additional websites.

I have my own domain or hosting. Does this lower the pricing?
No. Because this often times entails more work on our end. Since domain
& hosting is included with your web package it's really not a big deal.

What is your Website Cancellation Policy?
Please understand that we want you to be totally happy. But, if for some good reason, you need to cancel your Website work we will be happy to provide a partial refund, depending on the circumstances, the reason(s) for the cancellation and how much work has already gone into your website. Obviously if the website has been
created and you are not satisfied with the end result we will continue to work with
you to make it the way you want it (within project scope). But, if you still
want to cancel we will have to bill you at our standard hourly rate for the number
of hours we have spent thus far on your project, up to the full amount of the monies
already paid. In addition, if transfer of domain ownership needs to occur
then a further $50 fee will be imposed to cover the labor charge and expenses.

RENEWALS AND REFERRALS
What is the renewal process for websites?
It's very simple: The first year everything is included, so you don't have
to worry about anything.
There are no hidden fees!
After the first year we will notify you in advance about your upcoming renewal.
Just send us a check and it's done! The renewal price covers everything needed
to keep your website up and running for another full year. It's that easy.
The renewal price is determined up front, so you will know how much it is before
you decide to purchase a website.

What is your customer referral program?
It's very simple: For every person or company that you refer to GrowTech, if they decide
to do business with us, you get up to $100. It's simple! Just make sure that when they contact GrowTech they tell
us you referred us to them. This referral program is just a small way that
we say "Thanks" to you!

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
How do I configure Outlook to access my email?
Substitue "xxxxx" below with your domain name. Here are the settings:
- Email address/Account/Username: MyName@XXXXX.com
- Password: (we will email this to you)
- SMTP/POP3: mail.XXXXX.com
- Check Email Online: mail.XXXXX.com
Here are some general instructions for setting up your email program to access these
accounts. If you are using Outlook 2003 or newer, follow these general instructions:
- Click on Tools/Email Accounts
- Click Add a new email account and then Next
- Click POP3 then Next
- Fill out the settings using the above given information
- NOTE: Some Internet Service Providers, such as BellSouth, required that you use
their SMTP server to send out emails. If this is the case with your ISP, then use
their SMTP server, rather than the one above. (Leave POP3 server the same.) Contact
your ISP for their SMTP server address. I believe Bellsouth is mail.Bellsouth.net.
- Test Account Settings to verify that everything goes thru
- Click Next/Finish
If you are using Outlook Express 6 or newer, follow these general instructions:
- Click on Tools/Accounts
- Click on Mail tab
- Click Add / Mail
- Display Name: (your choice), click Next
- Email Address: (see above info), click Next
- Use POP3/SMTP settings above, click Next
- NOTE: Some Internet Service Providers, such as BellSouth, required that you use
their SMTP server to send out emails. If this is the case with your ISP, then use
their SMTP server, rather than the one above. (Leave POP3 server the same.) Contact
your ISP for their SMTP server address. I believe Bellsouth is mail.Bellsouth.net.

You can also use a web browser to check your email from any computer. If you want
to use a web browser to check your email, goto the web address in the above info
(Check Email Online). Login using your email address and password above.
